The Australian saltwater crocodile - crocodylus porosus - is one of the world's largest and most deadly predators. When dinosaurs roamed the world crocodiles were much as they are today, ruling the swamps, rivers and waterways and posing a threat to anyone who didn't respect their territory.
Crocodiles are the deadly survivors and since the shooting of them was banned in 1971 Australia's north has some of the largest crocodiles in the world. In this film we learn about the saltwater crocodile, its excellent sight, hearing and smell and how they are being farmed for their valuable skins that sell worldwide.
